RadioLINK Remote Relay Module
Intended for use with the smoke alarms in this range, fitted to the RadioLINK Multi Level Repeater Interconnect Base. Used as an interface with a host of other alarms or warning systems, eg warden call, dial out units. It is operated by radio signals sent by the other RadioLINK alarms in the system. Up to 12 RadioLINK units can be used in one system.
Standards
CE marked to indicate conformance to BS EN 60065 : 1998 (Electrical Safety), EN300220-1 V1.3.1 (2000-09) (RF Performance), EN301489 V1.4.1 (2002-08) (EMC) and has been 3rd party tested for electrical safety in accordance with Annex K of BS 5446 : Pt.1 : 2000.
Wireless Fire Alarm System
Interconnecting mains powered smoke alarms is essential to provide the earliest possible warning of a fire. By using wireless signals with the RadioLINK products in this range to interconnect smoke alarms, it is simpler and more convenient than using the conventional hard wired system. It is also easier to extend or change the system when required. The use of radio interconnection in Grade D alarm systems means that it is now much easier to comply with the extended alarm coverage recommended in BS 5839: Pt.6: 2004. As a guide, 30m should be the maximum distance between any of the alarms in the system.
