Loctite 542 is a medium strength, fast curing thread sealant designed for use with metal threads in pneumatic and hydraulic pipes and fittings. Loctite 542 cures in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. Once applied to the part Loctite 542 will not run as it is thixotropic, meaning it maintains its viscosity in static conditions.
