MCP39F511N Power Monitoring Demonstration Board
The MCP39F511N Power Monitor Demonstration Board is a fully functional energy monitoring system with which the featured MCP39F511N can be evaluated. The system demonstrates the calculation of active power, reactive power, RMS current, RMS voltage, active energy (both import and export), reactive energy and other typical power quantities for two separate loads.
The board is managed with the free to download Microchip Power Monitor Utility Software. With this GUI, all system configuration settings such as PWM output frequencies, zero crossing detection options, and event configurations can be customised. The software can also be used to create custom calibration setups, and offers a fast automated calibration process for easily switching between calibration procedures.
The MCP39F511N device itself is an integrated, dual-channel, single-phase power monitoring device that provides real-time measurement of input power and energy values for AC/DC power supplies. The MCP39F511N caters for applications such as dual-socket wall outlets, extension leads, AC/DC power supplies, and power distribution.
