These cables feature high attenuation of crosstalk and interference, thus giving excellent individual signal isolation, e.g. as required for computer to peripheral equipment connections. Pairs of 7//0.25mm (22 a.w.g.) stranded, tinned copper conductors are insulated with polypropylene, twisted together with a tinned copper drain wire and wrapped in aluminised polyester tape (except the 2 pair which has a common drain wire). The selected number of pairs is wrapped overall in polyester tape, with a PVC outer sheath. Each pair of conductors is colour coded to aid identification and the earth drain wire ensures good earth continuity.
