From the trusted RS PRO Brand, these stainless steel crinkle washers are generally used with a machine threaded fastener and nut to spread the load over a greater surface area when tightening a bolt, screw or nut. As they are made from A2 stainless steel, they have an element of corrosion resistance that ensures long life and suitability for some specialistic environments such as food production.
How do they work?
RS PRO crinkle washers have advantages over plain washers in that they provide an element of locking and vibration resistance in a fastener, while still fulfilling the purposes of a plain washer, namely spacing and distributing load between the fastener and material and prevent the wear and distortion of installation surfaces over time.
