Souriau SMS Series Flame Retardant Quick Mating Cable Mount Plug Housings

SMS series quick mating flame retardant cable mount wire to board / wire to wire plug housings with a compact design and a 'push to mate' and 'press & release to unmate' interconnection system that enables quick assembly and installation without the need for any additional hardware. These SMS series quick mating flame retardant cable mount plug connectors have polyamide PA 6 UL94-V0 housings which are fire and smoke resistant for railway indoor applications and are compliant to railway standards I3/F2 in accordance with NFF16101 & NFF16102 (fire and smoke standards). Additional features of these SMS series quick mating cable plug connectors include retaining latches for positive locking, pin protection skirts to prevent damage to the contacts and positive polarization keys to prevent mismating. Versions of these SMS cable mount plug housings are also available with discrimination cavities in beween the contact cavities and integrated strain relief hoods that can accept a wide range of cables.

Available from 2 position to 24 position, these SMS series quick mating cable connectors use size 16 TRIM TRIO 1.6mm diameter snap-lock pin and socket contacts which need to be purchased separately (see stock number 687-6364 typically)
