Want to cover cable ends securely without getting heat involved? Choose this cold shrink boot from 3M. It contracts when removed from its core and positioned over the end of a cylindrical object. Once in place, it seals tightly to keep out moisture and shield against knocks and scrapes. This adaptable end cap suits cables between 15.9 and 30.1mm in diameter, so it offers wide compatibility.
As it's made of robust rubber with a tensile strength of 1400psi, elongation of 750% and tear resistance of 150pli, you can rest assured this hardwearing product is built to last.
From 3M, these cold shrink end caps are moulded in black EPR, are UV-resistant and are pre-expanded on an applicator ring for easy application on-site or in storage areas, without the need for grease, tools or a torch; they ensure a reliable seal.
• They provide excellent resistance to various chemical and atmospheric agents (ultraviolet light, ozone) as well as to abrasion and deformation.
• Used to block moisture penetration in all types of cables waiting to be connected or used in trenches, along roads or on cable drums or sheath ends.
