The body suspends in the water from the sturdy cable while the probe within reads the liquid pressure and converts it to an electrical current. The reading travels up the cable to the switch to activate it when levels rise or fall. This ensures that liquids stay at an appropriate level to prevent underfilling or overflow.

What is this float switch made of?

The body of this float switch is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which provides excellent electrical insulation for greater safety and resistance to wear. The density of the material also means it can withstand turbulent water currents up to a depth of 100m for use in heavy-duty applications.
