The main scale, which is like that of a ruler, measures in millimetres. The Vernier scale measures in 0.02 millimetres and slides parallel to the main scale to enable precise readings to be MADE to a fraction of a division on the main scale.
The adjustable mechanism features a thumblock slide to accurately measure objects with ease.
