How do linear power supplies work?

Linear power supplies drop the voltage from an AC (alternating current) line to a much lower voltage. This is achieved using a large transformer. Linear power supplies can be used anywhere that low ripple excellent regulation is required as well as needing excellent response and low electromagnetic emissions.

Applications

• These DC power supplies have a variety of application use such as;
• Laboratories and educational facilities
• Service operation and post-sales support
• Product testing and quality assurance
• Product development and debugging
