They have two contacts, one mounted on a door or window frame and the other mounted on the door or window itself. When they are opened, the signal between these contacts is broken triggering the alarm system.
They are housed in an aluminium body that's highly resistant to corrosion and lightweight. It also has a high thermal tolerance giving this switch a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. With a 750 mm cable, you don't need to worry about installing them near an alarm or power source.
As they're RoHS compliant, 0.1% is as high as any hazardous substance reaches in these switches. And they've even been protected from harmful electrostatic discharge during handling and packaging. This product is well-suited for installation into commercial and residential alarm systems.
