These RS PRO crocodile clips are used to create flexible, temporary or experimental electrical connections in industrial settings or laboratories. Simply strip the wire of its insulations, thread or crimp to the hole in the back to secure into place and apply solder to create a tight connection.
The crocodile clips are fully insulated and allow connections by 4 mm banana plug or 10 mm male studs, making them ideal for providing grounding connections in workbenches and chassis. For complete safety and reliability, the clips are fully compliant with ESD S20.20 and EN 61340-5-1 ESD control programme, meaning they are handled in controlled facilities to prevent damage due to electrostatic discharge.
Large crocodile clips are commonly used in garage and car applications with battery chargers or jump leads. They may also be used in welding applications as they can usefully absorb excess heat.
