Designed to shield static-sensitive electronic devices like central processing units (CPUs), this ESD packaging foam from RS PRO has anti-static properties to safeguard sensitive components from harm.
This 6 mm-thick, high-performance cushioning foam is made from polyurethane coated in an anti-static agent. With a surface resistance of 1 x 105 to < 1 x 1011 ohms, it cannot be penetrated by harmful electrostatic discharges like those created from friction. Polyurethane is also resistant to damage and moisture for extra protection during shipping. It can withstand considerable stretching and pulling without breaking thanks to a nominal tensile strength of 70 KPa. In accordance with EU guidelines, this foam is dyed pink to distinguish it from similar products.
Like all products in the RS PRO series, this ESD packaging foam has been thoroughly tested to comply with international standards. It conforms to EN 61340-5-1, which is the European standard for electrostatic-resistant products.
