This RS PRO coiled cord is used to ground you when you're working in electrostatic protected areas (EPAs). As it makes a flexible connection between your wristband and the EPA ground facility, it's ideal for anyone who needs to work in a variety of different positions.
A one megohm resistor is built into the four mm socket end. This limits the current flowing through the cord to less than 0,5 mA, preventing overloads and keeping you safe. The cord's generous length of two metres allows a good range of movement while working.
This product uses a seven-end duplex tinsel conductor for extra strength and flexibility. As it complies with the EN 61340-5-1 standard, you can use it with confidence in situations where sensitive equipment needs to be protected from ESD (electrostatic discharge) damage.
