Precision RS PRO ESD safe Flush Cutters that cut by shearing, leading to a cleaner cut and less mechanical shock. The greatest benefit of this Anti-Shock system is that only half the effort is required when cutting wire compared to standard wire cutters. The term flush means level or straight and on the same plane, so flush cutters cut a wire level. These cutters are fully ESD compliant for safe use on sensitive electronic components.
RS PRO have a great range of hand tools including cutters of various sizes and styles to suit all your requirements, with the choice of ESD safe versions. Our range also includes insulated VDE pliers and cutters which are designed to protect you from up to 1000 V.
This range of flush cutters include:
847-2942 - 125mm: Type Flush, Oval

FAQs
Whats the difference between Flush Cutters and Side Cutters?
Flush cutters cut a wire level whereas side cutters or diagonal cutters cut on an angle meaning the wire edge will be cut to one side. Flush cutters also leave a smoother and more even end of the wire.
What sizes of Cutters are available?
Cutters come in a variety of sizes ranging from 110mm to 280mm (overall length). If a model type comes in different lengths, the jaws will be the same length but the handles will be either shorter or longer. They are usually light in weight due to the fact they are carried around a lot but heavier types with a wide jaw and thick blades are able to cut thicker wires.
Care and maintenance
Do not force cutters to cut through material that is too hard for them as it can damage the blades by chipping or blunting them. These hand tools can be cleaned with soap and water, especially the blades, to remove dirt which could cause issues with the joints and encourage corrosion.
