Looking for a float switch to use in industrial wastewater or sewage? This float switch from RS PRO is made from high-density polyethylene (PE), which helps it withstand temperatures of up to +55°C. The rounded body design and float feature help prevent solids from accumulating on the body. Switch operation is unaffected by suspended solids, while the self-cleaning switching element ensures the switch is insensitive to humidity.
The switch has a compact design that makes it suitable for use in smaller tanks and confined spaces. Internal ballast in the switch brings the centre of gravity and rotation close to the cable entry point, helping it to operate in turbulent fluids. Float switches of this type are used in sewage or industrial wastewater systems to turn a circuit on or off when the liquid in a tank reaches a certain level.
