Introducing the RS PRO RS-660 Noise Dosimeter, ideal for real-time measurement and monitoring of personal noise exposure levels. Its a lightweight and portable device, ideal for use on the go, especially when there is little space of a larger sound level meter to be used, or if noise exposure needs to be monitored over a longer period of time, for example over a full working day. It is a high-quality, versatile noise level measurement device that can be used to monitor noise exposure in a wide range of applications.
A sound level meter or dosimeter is used for acoustic measurements. It is commonly a hand-held instrument with a microphone. The diaphragm of the microphone responds to changes in air pressure caused by sound waves. That is why the instrument is sometimes referred to as a Sound Pressure Level Meter. The dosimeter is an instrument used to measure personal exposure to the immediate environment, such as sound levels around factories, workshops, schools, residential, offices, road, audio etc. It also can be appropriate for noise engineering, product quality control, health prevention and treatment, etc. Sound level meters are most commonly used for:
