You can use this RS PRO hexagon (hex) drive thread tap for both hand and power tool tapping. It creates the female portion of a mating pair to hold a male fastener such as a threaded bolt. This tap cuts the threads of the M3 size, which is 3 mm with a thread pitch of 0.5 mm.
It has a hex shank so you can easily use it with hex tools and drills. The product is made from high-speed steel (HSS), which guarantees it will resist wear and high temperatures.
The tap is handled and packed in compliance with the administrative and technical requirements of the ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS (British Standard) EN 61340-5-1:2007 electrostatic control standards. This means that you can be sure the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) is minimised.
