This Variac transformer from the RS PRO range is designed to convert mains power to variable voltage. You can use it for testing purposes with output voltages from 0 to 240 V AC. Thanks to the dial and clockwise-turning knob, you can easily and reliably adjust its output.
The transformer delivers a smooth linear output and no waveform distortion. This prevents your devices from overheating or malfunctioning. The commutator is silver-plated to provide high efficiency and a minimal chance of overloading.
This benchtop varivolt transformer is compliant with the EU's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, so it contains minimal levels of environmentally harmful materials.
