Only color-coding of housings limited the efficiency of blind mating where you could not see connectors. Part numbers involved can be reduced so that purchasing and stock level control can be made simpler.

TE Connectivity Universal MATE-N-LOK Strain Relief Clamps

A range of Cable clamps / Strain Relief for Mate-N-Lok Connectors. Each article constitutes half of a cable clamp, it is thus necessary to order two of them to facilitate assembly for a complete clamp. The material for these MATE-N-LOK Strain Relief's is a UL 94V-0 or UL 90V-2 rated Nylon.
Stock numbers 680-1903, 710-0090 , 864-9439 are cap housing adapters which anchor the receptacle housing strain reliefs to the housings and prevent distortion of the strain relief when screws are tightened.
